WEEE recycling has always been a time-consuming task for any company to deal with. The current changes in legislation have compounded the issue and along with growing concern around data security of disposed equipment it's become a major issue for many companies.
We offer a Total Clearance Plan for our customers that have an unsorted collection of WEEE and other computing effects (software, licenses, backup tapes etc). At your request we can turn up at your site, provide you with an inventory, sort through and identify equipment that requires recycling, or simply pick up any pre-identified WEEE.
Any machines, devices or media that may contain data will, on arrival at our Recycling Centre, be entered into our Controlled Online Register of Equipment (CORE) system and then transferred directly into our secure storage. These machines or devices will then have their hard drives wiped or destroyed to Department of Defence standard (DoD 5220.22-M) and continue through the Puretwelve Recycling Process. At your request we can securely destroy any media that you have identified which contains sensitive data. If you have identified machines that have or have had data on but are unsure of its content, we can offer a forensic service with our sister company Puretwelve Computing Services to report on all data on the disk, even if it has been previously deleted.
